Last NFFC summer outing is a day at the races!
Make a bet, try some beers, listen to the band! ZZTop free concert following the races. We'll meet at the east end of the inside field (where the beverages are cold and the horses aren't) If you can get to the inside field before first post (2PM), we can assure enough seats for all.
NFFC Mission
NFFC is dedicated to the development and maintenance of competitive epee fencers who compete at regional, national and international levels. NFFC accomplishes this by supporting the development of competitive junior, senior, and veteran epee fencers within NFFC, and within the greater fencing community.
NFFC Values
The personality of this group of fencers is the embodiment of the philosophy “Work hard, play hard”. NFFC is not a recreational fencing club, nor is it a fencing elite club dedicated to pure performance. The club is about working hard, competing, and beating the competition. But it is also about people that embrace fencing as a significant part of their everyday lives.
We are fierce competitors that do not like to lose, and at the same time we are not mean or vindictive and are always gracious in winning and losing. We are a club of seasoned and experienced fencers that share knowledge and nurture other fencers as they train to be stronger competitors. We are always fair and honorable and treat others with respect. This is true for the fencing community in general, and especially true for our own membership.
Junior competitive fencing program
We are continually recruiting young men and women to participate in this program. We are looking for juniors, 14-17 years of age, with dedication to ecellence, and an eagerness to learn to compete in local, and eventually national/international competitions.
Coaching
We do not offer group lessons. We are a competitive, goal oriented club, and only offer individual lessons to those who wish to excel in the competitive arena. Coach - Charles "Chuck" Alexander Certified Prevot d'Epee (United States Fencing Coaches Association, Academie d'Armes International)
